Sewage Treatment Plants
All sewage treatment plants supplied by Waste Water Supplies are tested to EN-12566-3 2005
A sewage treatment plant provides full treatment of incoming sewage to a level that the treated effluent can be discharge directly into a watercourse (ditch, stream, river etc.) The method of treating the sewage differs between different systems, but the basic processes are: Raw sewage enters the sewage treatment system - bacteria inside the tank begins the treatment process - solids that cannot break down settle into a sludge - treated liquid waste then discharges out of the system.
The main plus point of a sewage treatment plant is because they are constantly treating the sewage it removes all smell unlike a septic tank and saves on installation due to now requiring a soakaway.
